The week in Brussels includes visits to the European Parliament, European Council, European Commission, Economic and Social Committee, and/or Committee of the Regions. Students meet MEPs, professionals from advocacy organisations, think tanks, NGOs, youth organisations, European political parties and other following the specific interests of the students registered. One day is dedicated to an excursion to Bruges and a visit to the College of Europe!
Students also have some free time to visit Brussels and its surroundings. By the end of the week, students will have a good overview of the different possibilities open to them … and tips on how to go about getting a job in the “Brussels bubble”!
9-15 September 2013 (Strasbourg)
This will be our very first edition in Strasbourg! We have chosen a Parliamentary plenary week so that students get to see the European Parliament in full action. We will also visit other institutions such as the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Ombudsman. The headquarters of ARTE television are also on the programme! We will meet with lobbyists present for the plenary session, representatives of NGOs, journalists, and other persons of interest following the specific profiles of the students.
Students will also have free time for cultural visits and exploring the city. This week is a unique opportunity to see a different facet of the EU and to get a more diverse overview of the various institutions present in Strasbourg. As in the Brussels session, students will learn about the wide variety of opportunities open to them and will get a better insight on how to network and plan their European careers.
